Man
convicted over one-punch assault
A
21-year-old Perth man has been found guilty of
inflicting serious head injuries on another man with a
single punch.
A District Court jury deliberated
for about four hours before finding Aaron Arslanoski
guilty of causing grievous bodily harm to Matthew Day at
the Carine Glades Tavern in 2006.
Arslanoski denied punching Mr
Day... his lawyer maintained that police had charged the
wrong man and it may have been a bouncer that assaulted
him.
Mr Day suffered life-threatening
head injuries.
He told the court that he has an
indentation in his head and still suffers headaches.
Arslanoski was remanded in custody
and will be sentenced in June.
