Gang attacks Malmö nightclub
A group of 10
to 15 individuals armed with sticks and rocks attacked
Slagthuset nightclub in central Malmö on Friday night. The
entryway was damaged, but none of the security guards were
seriously injured.
The gang was made up of several young men in the 20s. The
incident occurred around 3.30am, and several people called the
police about the uproar outside of the club, which is open until
5am.
The attack was likely incited after several individuals became
upset when they were denied entry to the club, according to
police. After the incident, the men went to a nearby parking lot
and drove off in several vehicles.
“There were several witnesses to the incident. In addition to
the bouncers themselves, it's a popular spot where there are
plenty of people out at that time,” Calle Persson, information
officer at the Skåne police department, told TT.
Police also have surveillance footage of the attack at their
disposal.
No arrests have yet been made.
