Kiwi accused of 'glassing' Perth bouncer

A New Zealand man has been accused of "glassing" a bouncer at Perth nightclub, Tiger Lil's.

The incident happened just after midnight on Saturday, while the 21-year-old bouncer was trying to evict the drunk man from the club, the West Australian reported today.

Detectives said the man grabbed a beer glass and smashed it against the bouncer's head.

The bouncer's colleagues restrained the New Zealander until police arrived.

The bouncer suffered multiple deep cuts to his face and head and was taken to hospital for treatment.

The 26-year-old New Zealander was charged with unlawful wounding, refused bail and was expected to appear in Perth Magistrates Court.
