Two witnesses are being applauded for
bravery after they helped police chase down
an armed man who had allegedly shot a
bouncer twice in the leg only minutes
earlier at a Granville Street nightclub
early Sunday morning.
The man was arrested several blocks away from the shooting and was charged criminally yesterday.
The incident began around 12:30 a.m. Sunday, when a man got into an argument with the doorman at Barcelona nightclub on the 1100 block of Granville Street.

A witness and a doorman from a nearby club ran after the suspect, as did two police officers who were in the club on a walk-through.
At one point during his attempted escape, the armed man is accused of turning around and pointing the gun at his pursuers, but the gun didnít fire.
