A man at a metro city nightclub was killed late Wednesday night, after police said he tried to break up a fight.

Police were called to Lucky's nightclub on Nortwest 10th St. and Tulsa Avenue, for a reported shots fired. Investigators said a patron was trying to break up a fight between customers in the parking lot, when he was shot in the head. The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he died a short time later.

According to witnesses at the scene, the shooter ran from the club. Police said surveillance cameras positioned outside the bar caught the crime on video and showed a clear image of the shooter. Within minutes police were able to identify the gunman.
