- An early
morning shooting Friday at a West Babylon strip club
left one victim wounded, Suffolk police said.
The victim in the 1:38 a.m. shooting at the Stonehedge
Pub, 713 Sunrise Hwy., was taken to Good Samaritan
Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, police said.
No further details on the condition of the victim or the
incident itself were immediately available. The incident
is under investigation by detectives, police said.
The last major crime associated with the Stonehedge Pub
took place in 2000 when a man described as an
"unofficial bouncer" at the topless bar intervened
during an argument over tipping between a stripper and
two male patrons. The bouncer came up behind the two
patrons and beat them with a baseball bat, severely
injuring them and causing head gashes.
